Scottish inventions helped drive the Industrial Revolution and shape the world we live in today, with researchers and companies cementing Scotland's position as a major global player in business development and industrial innovation. Today, there may never have been a better time, or a greater need, for profound innovation.
ITI Scotland brought together a panel of leading players in Scottish Innovation to provide an authoritative discussion around the areas of Scotland's ambitions in the realm of innovation. The debate was chaired by BBC Science expert and presenter of Radio 4's "The Material World", Quentin Cooper. The introductory speech was delivered by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Fiona Hyslop.
